Hi,

I have a web page that lists user CVs uploaded by them. Admin can select any CV by clicking on its checkbox and then clicking on the button PRINT should print all those CVs. This is how that page will look like

CVs could be in DOC, PDF and RTF format. I am doing this in PHP and found out that it is not possible to do this as PHP is server side obviously and javascript has very limited printing functionality. There fore I was thinking of either using an Applet or an ActiveX control. I will go for applet but want to ask if such a task is possible? I haven't done programming in Java before so don't know. What could be the pitfalls that I may face in developing such a thing?

Thanks

The applet would need to be signed, because otherwise it is not allowed to print.

I doubt that applets (or actually, Java printing in general) can deal with formats you mention. Maybe PDF, but probably not DOC or RTF.
