how to read the xml file in applet

hi,
I have created all control in xml file.Next thing is applet application must read that xml file and proceeding output accordingly.This xml file is common for .NET and JAVA application.I am not able to post the xml file here

As a matter of fact, there are alot of APIs that let you do XML processing ...

First of all: where does the file reside? On the client computer, or on the server? The method for getting at it would be different.

If you know nothing about XML processing with Java I'd recommend sticking to the JAXP API. There'a a tutorial about it here.
