Is there any validity period exist for SCJP certification ?

Unlike many other certifications, once certified, you are always certified for that particular version of Java. So for example, if you have passed 1.4 certification, it is valid for ever, even after 1.5 is released. Of course, with due course of time, it will become obsolete (but still valid)
