Hi All,
There is some promotion offer for exam. Its saying that, if you purchase the exam on/before September 29, 2006, you can take one more exam, if failed, for free by by September 28, 2007. But i'm confused whether the first try should be taken before what date? Is it before 29 Sep 2006 or any time before 28 Sep 2007. I called the Sun office and inquired about this, but was not satisfied with the answer.
If any one has more idea about this, please respond.

What exactly was the answer provided by the Sun office? I would be inclined to trust their response more than something posted in a public forum.

From the terms and conditions:

Exams purchased in a country is valid in that country only. Once exam vouchers are purchased you have up to one year from the date of purchase to use it. Each voucher is valid for one exam and may only be used at an Authorised Prometric Testing Center in the country for which it was purchased. Please be aware that exam vouchers are nonrefundable for any reason.

I was told this offer is not valid in India I am going for a discount instead

Thats right its not valid in India. But NIIT Hyderabad has offered a discount voucher (for Rs.5500/- only) before September 15. I am not sure whether its there still. So please make sure weather its valid in your country before you buy any voucher.

My query was, by when i've to appear for the first try? One of the Sun representative replyed, i must purchase and appear for exam, before 29 Septmber 2006. And if i fail, the retake can be taken before 28 Septmber 2007. But no where on Sun website, it is mentioned that i must appear for the first try before 29 Septmber 2006.

That is correct. The voucher (I have one) is a normal voucher valid for one year. If I fail the exam., then Sun will send me a retake voucher. If I pass they will not.
