i think it is definite that you should not put the score in your resume. putting your score of 63% would be unnecessarily lowering the worth of your skillset.

with regards to putting the certification, it would also sometimes go at a disadvantage, when the technical interviewer(who sometimes will become your immediate supervisor) will ask how much you got in the exam. if he is aware of the exam, then saying 63% would give him a bad idea of your skills. but maybe you can add to it by saying that, you know it is low but you keep improving yourself. lying about your score may not be okay.

being honest is always the best policy. but keep your resume sensible.

good luck

and of course, whatever it is in the past, you can study well now and be able to answer his technical questions, which matters more

First, a pass is a pass whatever the score, so you should keep the title only. An exam is a global level test, even having an excellent score doesn't quallify you as an expert.

Then score is never meaningful to me, one of the most talented Java Person I ever met, my ex CTO, despite a Java international expert (JDO specialized) performed once poorly on the simple test SCJP like extract I showed him. This was not at all because of any lack of competency, I perfectly knew he was giganticly more skilled than needed for the test, but qestions were unclear, answers vague, and question purpose doubtful, as some SCJP questions are. As some extremely competent people may perform poorly on some questions of poor interest (for example would you look down on someone who doesn't know what "~" operator is for ?) by pure chance, as questions are randomly chosen from a pool at each exam, IMHO no one should really bother for score.

So in all you can proudly state your cert title alone without minimizing it with a companion poor score.

Best regards.

You had your fun. Now it's time to go to jail. Thanks for your help tiny ad.
