Hello ranchers,

I am currently doing my post graduate diploma in IT in london after my Bachelors of Engg. in Computers from India. I have a 1.5 years experience in Java and wish to apply for jobs in london. But as my status is of a student no one is giving me a job right now. Actually I have finished my course and I have 5 months more to go for my visa to expire. As I am doing diploma i cant extend my visa here on work permit.

So could you please guide me how should I approach companies here in UK as I am desperate not to leave the field of Java. Please help

Richa

Hello Richa!!
You start working as a part time employee in the companies. That will be a good idea!! So that when your student's visa expire.. you can apply for a work permit!! ok

thank you..
and also if there is any chance in Java, J2EE programmers inform me also..

Maddy,

Hows it looking for a job in London without a Work Permit? Does it stand a chance?

I am a Java Developer in India, who would like to come to UK.

Regards,
Tina

Hello ranchers,
I am currently working as a software engineer(Java) in Sri Lanka. I have a 2+ years of experience in Java and wish to apply for jobs in London. I has applied to lots of companies in UK, but they are asking me to have a valid work permit to work in UK. Its possible to find a job in UK with out a valid work permit.

Please help me

Thanking in advance

Chances of getting a work permit in the UK are very low, since there is no shortage of IT workers in the UK or in the EU. Although from the point of view of an employer, getting cheap IT workers from India is appealing, and they may bend the rules when applying for permits.
