Array Problem

cat[][] mycats = { {new cat("fluffy"), {new cat("zeus")},
                   {new cat("bilbo"), {new cat("legolas"),{new cat("bert")}
                  };

The above two dimensional array can be written as below: (correct me if i'm wrong)

cat[][] mycats = new cat[2][];
mycats[0] = new cat[2];
mycats[1] = new cat[3];
 
mycats[0][0] = new cat("fluffy");
mycats[0][1] = new cat("zeus");
 
mycats[1][0] = new cat("bilbo");
mycats[1][1] = new cat("legolas");
mycats[1][2] = new cat("bert");

If above is correct, how to give the similiar thing for three dimensional given below.. it's some what very confusioning curly brackes..can anybody split it as I spilted for two dimensional array?

     String[][][] arr = {
            { {}, null },
            { { "1", "2" }, { "1", null, "3" } },
            {},
            { { "1", null } }
        };

I think this should be OK.

String[][][] arr = new String[4][][];
 
arr[0] = new String[2][];
arr[0][0] = new String[0];
arr[0][1] = null;
 
arr[1] = new String[2][];
arr[1][0] = new String[]{"1", "2"};
arr[1][1] = new String[]{"1", null, "3"};
 
arr[2] = new String[0][0];
 
arr[3] = new String[1][];
arr[3][0] = new String[]{"1", null};
