i came to london, uk with about 3 yrs experience in java,j2ee etc,, i also didnt have a work permit when i came,, managed to get in to some interviews,, and get in thru with a job within 2 months,

try to register with the job agencies, and also post your resume in the job sites.
are you looking for a job in london? or somewhere else in uk?

Ankur,

some of the jobsites are CWjobs, huxley associates, jobsite.co.uk, theitjobboard.com, etc etc.
I came to UK on student visa to do my MSc ,, i am doing a MSc in Advanced Computing at Imperial College London, i looked for a part time software development job. And managed to get some interviews,, and now working part time for a company, while doing my studies..i think the experience i had helped me a lot.

are you in UK now? or in India?

it will be difficult to get job in UK while staying in India , IMO. and these ppl who are asking money are telling BS , you dont have to do that,, keepon posting,, there are lot of jobs these days since it is the begining of the year..
btw, i also still get a lot of mails about recent vacancies,, if you give me your e-mail , i can forward those to you,

try to come in some means (working holiday/student) to UK and then try for jobs,,, then you can go for interviews..

HTH

prathima ,

The amounts depend on what you are intending to study, using the student visa. And of course the living expenses for the durations of your course. I am not sure about the amounts for holiday visa.

Hi s mahen perera,

I am also in the same status as you, except with out a job. I am studying Msc Multimedia and Internet from Sheffield Hallam University. I have recently finshed my dissertation and now looking for a job. I tried looking for a part time IT job earlier, but couldn't find any as most of them required to work full time. Could you please guide what should be my next step, as you already have expeience working in UK. You can contact me on [email protected].

Thanks!
Namit
