Hi vats Rao,

Its always better to go with java se 5.0.(055) for programming better.
you have templates,Type checked collections, enum,(Regular expression stuff Pattern, Matcher),StringBuilder, enhanced for. (And included some old RuntimeExceptions, NullPointerException,NumberFormatException,IllegalStateException,IllegalMonitorStateException.
ClassCastException,StackOverflowError,AssertionError. for this exam to make us aware of thier cause)

Do you want to miss this suff ?

Coming to which version companies use ?
Be optimistic. First of all we need to get ready for the future.
