2.Sun Certified Programmer for Java 2 Platform 1.4 (CX-310-035)Details

Welcome to JavaRanch!

The "6-12 months of experience" listed for version 1.4 is only a recommended guideline to help you prepare. It is not a formal requirement.

The current exam is version 5.0 (CX-310-055). So unless you have a compelling reason to take the prior version, you should probably take the 5.0 exam.

(For more information, try our SCJP FAQ.)

Hi marc,

Thanks for suggesting me such valuable information.

1.Could you please guide me which book i have to study and practice for SCJP 5.0 or SCJP 1.4?

2.What is the cost of SCJP 5.0 and the cost of SCJP 1.4?.

3.I have to collect the VOucher from the prometric centers in india.
WHat is the validity period of the voucher?
Can i get the voucher at anytime?
Suppose i purchased the voucher then when will i have to appear the test?
Where will i appear for the test? in the prometric center or any other place?

Please suggest me.

Thanks & Regards
Pintu
