I download Dave Allen's notes (html) from JavaRanch of SCJP FAQ. I cannot totally understand the following sentence's meaning?

In the part of:
Primitives, WrappersAssignments, Autoboxing
no static member can use a generic type parameter declared by the enclosing class? What's meaning of this sentence?

What it means is that you can't have something like the following in a generic class definition.
