Hello All,
Just joined this wonderful J2EE site. I want to prepare for 1.4 certification since my office uses 1.4. I am asked to work on this technology which is really exciting for me. I browsed many web sites Amazon, eBay, eBooks, etc. for some good books for 1.4 certification but all sites list the 1.5 books. It will be great if any one is selling his old SCJP 1.4 books and material or know the source, that will be very helpful. I have to go further for SCWCD 1.4 certification too.

Hey there,
Read my post on differences between 1.4 and 5. I suggest you appear for the version 5 exam 'cos that's the latest industry standard. You could, of course, go on working on 1.4 in your office just the same so long as you know the differences. The problem with these exams is that no sooner you pass them, they become outdated by a new version. But I think the differences, however big, would not shake the foundations of the language which this exam is all about. About material, a lot of used books are for sale on Amazon if you stay in the US. In India, the 1.4 versions are still available which I have as I mentioned in my post. All the best.
