I cannot totally understand the following sentence from Dave Allen's notes.
Can someone explain to me?

Gotchas (very tricky stuff)
--Cant assume from listed code that a property value hasnt already been set for use of System.getProperty(stringKey, stringDefaultValue), so cant tell if property will be set to stringDefaultValue or not

Please post the entire paragraph so people can understand in what context this was written. I am guessing that the author is saying that stringDefaultValue may not be set as the value for the given key, so when you get the property it might not return what you expect.
