hi,can any one suggest me some books for scjp,is KATHY SIERRA a good book.
I also have one more doubt that i have some knowledge of java which i studied in my Engineering,which exam SCJP1.4 or SCJP1.5 shall i take up.
The concepts which are in SCJP1.4 are known to me,but some of the concepts in SCJP1.5 iam unaware of it but my friend is suggesting me to take up 1.5 as it is latest at the same time i dont want to fail also

PLEASE GIVE ME A GOOD SUGGESSTION.

I think scjp1.5 is better for you because as you told you learnt something about java in engineering.
so far you learning concepts is not at all a problem in short span of time.
Better go for SCJP1.5.
