Welcome Tarte,

firstly I would like to say, that I'm not sure about your path being_immediately_certified. Certifications are intended for experienced developers and not beginners. What will be the use of that certificate then?

First material for the SCJP certification you should read is our FAQ (http://www.javaranch.com/certfaq.jsp), there you will find all the necessary information. If you don't understand some area of java language, come back and place your question.

We cannot recommend you any notebook, 'cause we don't know your preferences or needs.

And for the next time, I recommend you first thinking and searching and after that writing
