Howdy Y'all,

I am thinking of purchasing the CDJ-275A self-paced training CD-ROM. Before I plunk down (actually, I plan to ask my company to do the plunking)the $450, I was hoping to read some reviews. Please give me your honest opinions about this training method. Preferably, I would like to hear from those who have actually used the media, but I am open to listen to opinions from people who just have thoughts on such a training method in general. Also, if you have links to previously published reviews of this material, that would be helpful, too. Although, I had trouble finding any, thus this post.

Thanks,
Mike

Hi,
I purchased 4 of these cd for our group of Java developers.
For the beginner Java programmers, this CD gets you going with a good foundation of how Java (5) works.
What nice, is that since it's from Sun, you can count on it being correct and accurate information.
It's self paced with pre/post tests, nice examples and easy to follow graphics.
It took, on average, 2-3 weeks for our beginner folks to complete.
Even our intermediate Java programmers found the CD a useful skills refresher.
Recommended, especially if you are interested in the Java Programmer certification.

We also purchased the next CD for Java Developers. Also well done.
Hope this helped.

Cheers.
Joe
