Since neither the SCJA nor the SCJP certificates have any prerequiste certificates, it's a commonly asked question whether to start with the SCJA or the SCJP.

I believe that this question is asked frequently enough that it should be in the FAQ both for this SCJP forum and the SCJA forum.

In my experience in moderating this forum, it is not a frequently asked question. The requisites for SCJP are clearly do not mention SCJA as a requisite. If I recall correctly, a search way back in this forum will also show that a Sun representive wrote that SCJA is meant for a non-developer audience, and is meant for managerial/sales/call-centre/first-level support personnel.

Let's keep this SCJP forum for SCJP issues. Please.
