Doubt in K&B SCJP 5: topic Collection pg 544

LinkedHashMap -In book it is written that It is slower in addition and deletion than HashMap.But is fast in iterating..But my opinion is that... as it is based on doubly link list data structure,so addtion and deletion should be fast and iteration should be slow as it has to consider traversing on both side.
Any suggestion or correction please....

Hi raj,

LinkedHashMap does everything which a normal HashMap does, and in addition, it maintains a double linked list. So, who is faster?

I had this doubt because in K&B -similar to this for set ie Hashset and LinkedHashSet it is written opposite....
