Hi

I have tried following code (not from any mock exam) and surprised to see that I am not getting exception message!

When I run this program I am getting following o/p:
char - int : Got some exception
Exception in thread "main"

I am not seeing any output from Line 8.

Can somebody clear my doubt what is happening here?

Thanks
Murali...

Howdy Murali!

The e.getMessage() of line 8 also throws an exception, that is not caught and therefore stops the program flow.
I modified your code a bit:
The output is
char - int : caught class java.util.IllegalFormatCodePointException
Got some exception:
caught class java.util.IllegalFormatCodePointException
End
main ready

Really strange. You won't be able to get a message out of this exception. But I'm sure this special case won't be on the exam.

Yours,
Bu.
