pls help me in my interview

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Hi everybody,
I am attending an interview in the evening. I would like someone to help me out since this is my first interview for the post of a entry level java programmer.I would like to know:
1.What type of questions are asked in the interview?
2.I am SCJP.Will they be asking me RMI,Servlets,JSP etc etc.I have not mentioned any of that in my resume.
3.I would appreciate if somebody can send few question...so that i can practice..
i might sound a little crazy but...it has been 2 years since i have been sitting at home (after 3 years of working as software engineer).I am literally very nervous about it.
wish me luck!!!
Thank you in advance..

Sudha,
Well, I have not attended any interviews here, but since no one has replied yet, I would atleast tell you what I think. Go through javaranch programmer certification forum. I think since you have applied for the entry level position they will ask you very basic questions, similar to the ones asked in the SCJPE. Some employers even ask you to take an online test which is again similar to most of the mocks. If they ask you about the advanced topics, I don't think you have to worry. Had you known the advanced topics you wouldn't be applying for an entry level position, would you?
I am in the same boat as you. Have worked as analyst programmer for 6 years but have been at home for last 3 years. Want to go for entry level position but not yet got myself to apply anywhere. Do let me know of your experiences.
All the best.

Hi ,
This site has some java interview question: http://members.home.net/shimonp/Interview/faq_java.html
And by the by i attended the interview yesterday. I would like to share my experience with u. I feel if we go just with the Programmer level knowledge in Java ...it won't fetch much rewards. Because very rarely do we have to work with just that. The advance level java is what that is mainly used in most of the work(My personal opinion and the impression that i got after the interview). We must know Socket, JDBC, Javascript, RMI, Servelets etc..atleast the basic knowledge. In my opinion if we give interview when we have completed 75% of the developer certification preparation ,it would more rewarding.
I shall send the documents to u people.Give me some time.
Bye.

hi every body,
don't get frustated with job.if you have little bit of experience in job, that is it.in the job dont get tensed.try to do what they want, and not you want.they will take you.if you dont
get any thing ,you just say i am trying.
try to get atleast for experience in job.you will get a job.
dont get frustated in your interview.and think that this is your
last interview,if you dont get in this ,you will get in an other interview.
the job experience is a new type of learning. and this is not related to java.related to job experience.
you just talk good and ask them what kind of project thay have
? how many members in the team ?
hope you all the best.

Folks,
Sudha posted that offer in August. It's unlikely he's still checking back for respondents, and even if he was, I think there's a statute of limitations on his offer that's long past.

by the way i am also familiar with asp, html, javascript and all web stuff.
as a fresher, will these people expect the knowledge of CORBA,RMI,JINI etc...
to tell you the truth i dont know anything about this stuff.
i sometimes get tention thinking about my future.
