"IT Career Fairs where 1,000s of companies come ready with 100's of job opportunities"
Well, it's free anyway...has anyone had any luck at these career fair things? What should one do or not do? Wallpaper the place with resumes?
It's all kind of funny...I never had to go through this before I decided to change careers...I always got my jobs the old fashioned way (no, not like that), I knew somebody. Now I have no idea what to do because I have no network to work.

Steve,
I attended a few fairs. You do get interviews through that and even job offers. I got many interviews and even job offers. But they are mostly for experienced people. But again, they may as well take resumes for entry level. I suggest you attend a few of them. You mentioned in your other post that you are in DC area. I attended few fairs in DC area. They are OK. Atleast you get exposure to companies in your field.Downside is that the Fairs operator will send your resume to many companies without your permission. Good luck.
