Are the questions asked on the small tips that the book provides ...

System.out.println( x.length() );

Will the above snippet compile or not....
This is from K&B book...

No, because the array has a attribute "length" not a method. The method length() is of type String.

Just write a small program with the code above and try to compile it, and you'll know the answer much faster than when you ask it on the forum.

Yes, the K&B book absolutely covers everything you need to know for the SCJP exam.
