Hi,

A class is a subclass if it extends another class.

Every class in Java is a subclass expect the Object class, because by default, every class in Java extends the Object class.

Animal IS-A Animal.

The class will pass the IS-A test for itself.

hi,

Actually what my doubt was if class A extnds Class B then does it mean that subclass of A are class A and Class B.

Please explain

No, a class is not a subclass of itself.

If you have a class A and a class B that extends A, then B is a subclass of A.
If you have a class C that extends B, then C is a subclass of A and B.
 
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
