Hello everybody, I'm new to the forum and I'm glad to be here.

I have some doubts about the SCJP 1.5`s exam. I'm a PHP developer since 2002, but now I want to change upgrade my programming skills based on a more robust language like Java. Question is: How many time do I need to study to achieve a good score in the exam?
Having in mind that I'm still developing in PHP at work, and at home I study Java by myself (with K&B book and some extra stuff about OO concepts).

Sorry for my poor english

Cheers from Brazil!

That depends on how much you know the OO concept and how much you're willing to spend your time studying. Normally people who don't have experience in Java, but do have experience in other programming languages spend about 2-4 months.

Hope that helps.
