Hi All,
I have done SCJP5. Can you please suggest which one to go for (SCWCD/SCBCD)?

I beliebe its SCWCD. I could be wrong but think SCBCD is way beyond the level of SCWCD and you might need to know EJB like back of your hand for that one.

That I think depends on your choice and the kind of work that you are doing right now.If you some experience in web development then I think you should go for SCWCD as SUN also recommends that you should have some experience in the required subject before sitting in the certifications exams.

all the best!

Look at the picture on the Sun Java Certifications website. It shows you the certification paths.

If you're SCJP certified, you can choose different directions:

Desktop Java:
SCJD - More about Java SE; desktop apps, Swing, client-server apps

Web applications:
SCWCD - About the web tier Java EE technologies (servlets, JSPs, ...)
SCBCD - About the business tier Java EE technologies (EJBs, ...)
SCDJWS - About web services

Mobile:
SCMAD - About Java ME

My personal opinion is that if you want to go in the web applications direction, it would be most logical to first look at SCWCD, and after that at SCBCD and/or SCDJWS.

IMHO based on current job market, best choice to get is SCWCD.
EJB (SCBCD) isn't that popular anymore since POJO more popular right now.
After that you can go for web service cert.

I also would suggest to go for SCWCD as it would be an appropriate path and start, it purely depends on the area and technologies you work on.

Let's say, if your project involves more Components (EJBs), you can go for SCBCD than that of SCWCD!

Good luck
