Hi friends,

I am prasad. I started Preparing for SCJP 1.5 two minths back and completely understood the concepts and notes from K&B. But the problem i am facing is that i could not unable to Get the confidence of to face the Exam. I am Facing real problem with Collections and genrics and should be get mastered in this Chapter.

Actually I prepared in the following way.

I. Used to read each and every point from each chapter and used to write each any every point in seperate book so that i can read any time w/0 seeing K&b agin i mean i write all possible imp points with expalantion in the way i can understand infact i tried to copy the same from K&B

2. Once i complete the chapter, i go for test and evaluate my self and read again

This i am doing from 2 months.

So Friends please suggest me... Passing SCJP adds a lot to me ....

What you should do is order the epractice exams from Sun and use them. The result score of those exams are pretty close to the real exam.

It's also a good way to see if you know enough about collections and generics to pass the exam.

Hello Prasad, welcome to JavaRanch.

Can you be more specific about what you have difficulties with exactly with regard to collections and generics? Are there some specific things you don't understand? Find out exactly what you are doing wrong and ask questions here about it, so that we can explain it to you.

Hey buddy
Relax man. The scjp exam is not that tough. I wrote the exam just last week. The exam concentrates on all the aspects of the language. Even i was really confused about generics and collections. But in the exam there were only two questions about them and that too really simple ones. The rest is mostly syntax and thread based questions. I strongly suggest you to stop reading the book. It will do more bad than good at this point. All <edited by bu.>you</edited> gotta do now is search for scjp question papers only the free ones in google. Download and just solve them. Solve atleast a 1000 questions and you are ready.
Any doubts post a <edited by bu>message</edited> and i will reply.
