Hey guy's , i am new in javaranch & also in SCJP, I just want to prepare myself for SCJP & i need your help, can you please suggest me the name of some better books, that can help me a lot for good scoring in SCJP, (right now i am preparing from Thinking in JAVA by Bruce Eckel)

The most used book, which covers everything you need to know, is the SCJP Study Guide by Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates (also known as "K&B").

Just study SCJP guide by Kathy and Sierra and do practice tests from whizlabs.. that's more than enough. i would not suggest reading khalid moghul.. it confuses more than it teaches!

for beginning java... Java complete reference by herbert schildt is good. U can also try Core java vol 1 and 2
