hi all,
please let me know if scjp certification helps for job hunters as i am jobless and hunting for job so if i clear this certification will it help me in any ways.

Yes, without any doubt.
Certification puts you on top of the list of all candidates. Employers see a lot of value in certifications. Only thing to be considered is that certifications dont replace real experience in job. By that I mean,there are people who might have no certification,but couple of years of experience which is also as good.
For you, since you are trying to get into job market, a certification as SCJP will definitely will make you a great candidate to look at.
Besides since you are not working , you can prepare full time for this exam and clear it without much stress .
Still it would take practice & good preparation.

Another thing, is being a programmer is enough to get a job or addional skills or knowledge is required for eg. IDE, knowing UML or else..
