I am pretty new to the ranch. Actually just signed up last night and have been reading a lot on the forums the last day or so. One thing that is mentioned a lot is to read the SCJP Sun Certified Programmer for Java 5 Study Guide by Katherine Sierra and Bert Bates (which happens to coincide with two of the main people who formed this forum :-) So last night I ordered that book off Amazon. As I was searching Amazon for more info, I noticed that there is also a SCJP Sun Certified Programmer for Java 5 Practice Exams book, also by the same authors :-). After looking at it closer though I noticed it hadn't been released yet and then noticed the expected release date. January 2009. WOW! Is this a typo on Amazon, or is it truly not expected to surface for another 1 1/2 years? I would love to get my hands on that book, but unfortunately I am planning on taking my test in November sometime. I was just curious if that date is correct or not. Seems like a long way off!

Thanks!

Joshua

I believe that other book just with extra exam questions. You might be better off looking at software offered at whizlabs and enthuware.
