Non-generic type will except any thing. But if you want to sort non-legacy type collection, you have to put comparable things. Otherwise ClassCastException will occur at runtime. Correct me if I am wrong.

Hi,
I think what you are saying is not correct.
Because according to non generic code you can put any kind of objects in a list. when you are trying to compare it through you will get the output with out having any exception provided the objects you are putting in the list are implements comparable interface.Otherwise you will get ClassCastException.
