want to know my smtp server  RSS feed

I am connected to the internet through LAN.I am unable to get the name of my smtp server from my system administrator.

Is there any way in knowing my smtpserver.Please help me out urgently

You may not have access to one. Some organizations use proprietary email systems which are "gatewayed" out to the real world (MS Exchange Server, for example). If this is the case, your firewall may just block SMTP traffic so you are out of luck.
Do you have any sort of email client working already? (Eudora, Netscape, Outlook Express, whatever) Investigate its settings and see if it uses smtp. If it does, then use the host defined there.

I was unable to find out my smtpserver because outlookExpress was not configured.
IS there any other way to find out my smtpserver

Can you use email at all from that machine? If so check whatever software you do use.
If you don't use email, but there is someone nearby (a colleague or whatever) who does have a working email system, ask them if you can look at their email client settings.
If the system admins don't want you to have access to email, you are almost certainly out of luck.

Try using the ISP SMTP server for eg. in bombay u can try bom4.vsnl.net.in it should work.
