javamail and proxy  RSS feed

I am reading mail through javamail api in my java application. But i am accessing internet through Internet.
My application is giving me netsted exception: java.net.UnknownHostException.
I think it is b/c i am accessing net through proxy only.
Do u know the solution for this problem?

I tried from outside the proxy and it seems to work. At least I am able to connect to pop servers. Whilst connecting to Yahoo, the listing of the mail was interrupted. Perhaps there are too many to download.

I got the code from the book entitled Java Servlets (2nd Ed) by Karl Moss, published by McGraw Hill.
