Hello,
How about the IT job market now? I got a master degree in Computer Science last December. I am Sun Certified Programmer.
By now I still have not got a job offer? I have sent hundreds of resume, but I got very little reply. If any body can give me some advices I will appreciate it.
Thanks
Nancy

Nancy-
One piece of advice:
Always call to follow up your resume. I got my first Java job after sending out about 100 resumes, but I'd say only one or two companies ever called me. I had to do the calling. That's why I got interviews, and that's why I got a job.
Good luck!

Nancy:
- Are you in the USA?
- With an MS-Computer Science, and the SJCP, you should be getting literally swamped with phone calls. It almost sounds like there might be something amiss with your resume.
- Go over your resume - are there any mispellings, double check the phone number and e-mail address. I know, it sounds simple, but you would be surprised how many tech calls I used to get that were the result of not plugging in the computer or printer (seriously).

- Need some more information here. What part of the USA are you targeting your job search - or are you looking all over USA. Not a problem, but there are alot more jobs in Calif, NY, DC than let's say Iowa or Kansas.
- Do you have a link to resume? Can you post it here?
- Again, it's almost like something is wrong on your end. You should be getting 30-50 calls a week (90% recruiters anyhow). This was my experience.
- Send me your resume (jpcoxey@aol.com), and I will take a quick look at it. It may take me a day or two for turnaround - was out to Utah this weekend to fish and just got back this afternoon. Tomorrow is going to be a real joy at work I am out of quaters for laundry machine - and no clean clothes.

You may also want to post your resume on a job site such as Monster.com
