hello ranchers,

Can someone expalin me the meaning of static.?

A class variable is any field declared with the static modifier; this tells the compiler that there is exactly one copy of this variable in existence, regardless of how many times the class has been instantiated.

Explain with example please?

Have a look at this: The Java Tutorial - Understanding Instance and Class Members

For non-static member variables, each object of the class has its own copy of the variable. For static member variables, there is only one copy of the variable, which is shared by all objects of that class; that's why a static variable is also sometimes called a "class variable".
