Well friends this is an open question for a debate. Is Java dying? It hasn't lived up to the expectations like it isn't as platform independent as it claims to be as releases of jdk are not of the same version across all platforms. Java is not as secure as it claims to be, Swing is pretty resource hungry, J2ME does not support double so forget having transactions on J2ME apps etc etc.
Lets have a talk or a debate would be even healthier. I 'll be the moderator .
Regards,
Nitin.
