my name is Manu,i am from India.i am a Btech Final Year Computer Science and Engineering student,i am currently doing my Final Year Project in Java.My project is to optimize the currentlyexisting Chat Software,that is i am trying to send pictures along the messages or pictures alone.i belive this is facility is not currentl available easily in the Web now.i managed to complete my project as per academic requirements are concerned.i need to know whether i should continue with this project to make it a good software that enables me to sell it to some .com companies,will it be worth or not.plz give me details of how and whom should i meet.

I was in this space a year ago. Unless you have some radical new compression algorithm or is optimized for some particular usage, I doubt there's much of a market, at least in the US. All the major IM provides already support picture and file transfer.

is there any chat software currently in the Net that enables u to send Pictures while u chat.can any one name any software.

Player 1: "I can name that software in 10 bytes."
Player 2: "I can name that software in 6 bytes."
Player 1: "I can name that software in 3 bytes."
Player 2: "I can name that software in 2 bytes."

The software is... AIM, which supports file transfer. And, I'll bet ICQ and Yahoo's chat program do the same, and probably all of them do by now.

the softwares u specify allow u to send files.if u want to see what are the contents u have to open the file don't u .that's what i say in the above software u are not transfering the file u are chatting
