I just got through going to the Sun site for info on certification testing. Following their links I wound up at a page that says that the test is $200 US (I am in the Houston, TX area). Then I followed their link to locate a test center which of course, takes you to Prometric. Following their links I run across a page where the cost is stated as $300 US.

Is this a problem? I mean, if Sun sells you the voucher will the test center take it, or do they try to collect another $100?

Just getting ready to take my test and want to be sure what to expect.

Get the voucher from Sun. When you register with ProMetric it will ask you for the voucher number. They won't charge you anything else.

It should cost you only 200$. I have not heard of the extra charge before. Perhaps you can call the prometric center and ask why they seem to be charging extra. If you get a reply let us know

I noticed the same when I applied for the exam.

Once you book with prometric they disregard the difference. So you only end up paying the $200 Sun charge.

Buying from Sun was never a question.... I just wanted to make sure that Prometric wasn't going to be checking the contents from my emptied pockets for another $100.

Thanks for the responses!

They won't charge you extra $100.
