I am be graduating from a Canadian University end of this year and I'd like to get a job in Boston area. Does any one know how the job market is there? I saw a lot of job posting saying "no H1B", does it mean I can't apply for that job either?

Thanks Faisal,
Can I apply for the TN-1 visa without having a employer sponsoring me?

The TN-1 visa works liek this.
You require a lettre from your employer stating that you will be working for the company for a maximum period of 1 year. You job title should read "Technical Writer" or "Systems Analyst"(could be wrong bt there are 2 titles wihch work) just as a formality.
The visa cost something like $50-60UDS. You have to make sure you need your university Degree in hand, and your canadian passport. The visa is valid only for only this one company, so if you leave your job or are fired you have to leave the US also. I beleive you have something like 48 hours to leave.
Hope that makes some sense..three is tons of info on the net...check it out.

I don't know lots of people looking at the moment, so I am no expert here. A coworkers husband is looking, he has lots of experience, and isn't having lots of luck at the moment. But I also don't know exactly how selective he is trying to be.
Another coworker is from Canada and I think that it is easyer for someone from Canada to get the paperwork needed, but I am not expert on that either.
Good luck.

This page has some info about TN-1. It appears to be a head hunter agency so double check anything that is acutally important. http://www.topechelon.com/recruiters/contracting/tn1_visa.htm

Thanks guys,
I got a little bit more idea now, even though I still don't quite understand the difference between "sponsoring" and "having a letter from employer".
I got an email asking for resume about a week ago, since I am not going to graduate until end of this year, I think may be it's more useful for those who are searching for immidiate position.
