Seniors Pls Help!!
I have read SCJP 1.5 Kathy book 4 times. But Still when ever I give the Whizlab Exam I get around only 30/72.This has really put me on a backseat.I have even made my notes on each Chapter .But nothing seems to work.Whenever I give the exam I am really confident that I have answered most of the question correctly. But the result always shows the opposite.I have 1 month left before I fly to US for my Further Studies.Guys please suggest what should I do so that I can give my exams as soon as possible.
Thanks in advance

welcome to Javaranch

Do a lot of practice on mock exams
Solve small programs by your own and think on multiple possible situations
Make small code of you choice compile it and run it
that will teach you more also follow kathy sierra's book that is best for SCJP
But do a lot of small programs of youe choice so that you are comfortable with programming
Go from easy level questions to difficult level question gradually

Javaranch forum is best place to discuss problems
try to find out weak areas and make them strong
you clear your concepts and understanding where you find yourself weak.

One thing you remember that
Parctice makes man perfect

And for SCJP
SUCESS is equal to Lot of Practice

Best of Luck

It's a good idea to cheat whizlabs for the first few attempts, you do the exam as an open book exam and you're allowed to compile on the side or read your javadocs.
Don't just copy and paste the whizlabs problem into your IDE and compile, the point is not to find the answer but to understand the problem and solve it. So try slightly different problems, and then as Ninad said try different situations and really play with it. Do this for a week or 2 before you take the exam properly again.

Also try other mock exams, do enough of them and you'll understand the concepts being tested. There are many free ones to compliment the whizlabs one, give them a shot. Check the FAQ page for details.

Practice more mock exams. This will give you confidence and understand the type of topics that the exam will test you on. Once you are confident about your mastery of these topics you can give the exam a crack
