I have taken the K&B mock exam 3 times. The first time I scored 74%, the second time 68% and the last time I socred 74% (without doing all the questions on Collection and generics). Does this mean I'm ready for the real exam, or should I score higher than 74% to be confident ?
If you feel all concepts of java are clear then you may go for exam otherwise find weak areas where your score is less and try to clear concepts on that weak areas

I have to take the real exam on July 8th
You should do very well in the real exam. Good luck
When you say 'without doing all the questions on Collection and generics', is this because this is a difficult area for you? If so, it's probably best to concentrate on this area and do all the questions you can on this area in the mock exams. That way, you know the mock exams you have done have covered every topic.
Yeah I found that my weaknesses are on the generics and Collections. I understand them very well when I read the K&B book, but when it commes to answering the questions, I'm all mixed up (it's maybe because the questions are to tricky).
Write code. That's it. Read chapter 7 again and write code so that you understand the concepts. The key points are the inheritance order... if you can remember that Set's inherit collection then you'll remember there's and add method, and if you remember that TreeSet inherit's from SortedSet you'll remember that it's sorted and so on.
Focus on the questions at the end of the chapter, know them well. Understand the difference between <?>, <? extends ..>, and <? super ..>.
Keep reading and practicing and you'll be fine.
