Curious - are the primitives listed in the API?

Any idea? <Thanks!>

Primitives are not objects so you wont find them there. Usually a class is searched for when someone wants to know what methods it has and how to go about using the class.

Internal representation of primitives however are made up from class 'Class'. Here is an example

System.out.println(int.class.getName());

Okay, thanks - tried that, and it printed 'int' - guess it's a good way to get the primitive types if you're unsure of them.
