The official sun website at the following address

http://www.sun.com/training/catalog/courses/CX-310-035.xml#skscontent

displays the following text.

"Effective October 31, 2008, if you hold an exam voucher for this certification exam, you have through November 28th, 2008 to take the exam at an authorized Prometric worldwide testing center."

Does that mean that from November onwards, there will be no exam from 1.4?

ah ! finally. Yes it appears that November would be the last month SCJP 1.4 survives.

But that does that also mean that if someone is already SCJP 1.4, he won't be called so?

No your SCJP certificate holds good for life. When people publish credentials they usually do not say 'I am SCJP 1.4 certified', they say 'I am SCJP certified'. So i dont think it matters

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
