Helo, somehow I end up in here - as Java is both OS and hardware independent this thread should not exist in here since this site rarely supports native.
I have been fancied over imaginery JavaOS which would take over at very early stage. In this OS we would have command processor which would take classes form the commandline in order to execute. Linux has support for this, but any *sh is not Java.
Linus, the Thorvalds one - not the master of Snoopy, has involved in the process of the most exicting processors of our ages: Crusoe. This processor has this chameleontic feature to be change: today Intel, tomorrow REAL RISC! Exiting? Nyaah! All the implementations of the soft alyer of the processors currently seems to be more or LESS the x86.
Crusoe, on the other hand, could be turned into real killer - JVM that is not so Virtual but partly true machine through metamorphing.
What I have wondered is that how JavaOS would start - at what stage it would gain the "conciousness"?
Any ideas?
