I have this SCJP 1.5 book by K&B. I heard the Java Study Guide for SCJP 6 by the same authors is out. Are there much differences? Can I use the older version of the book to prepare for SCJP 6? How do I make up for the additions to the latest version of the exam.

The authors themselves told that there are not much difference's between SCJP 5.0 and SCJP 6.0 study guides. So you can use SCJP 5.0 to prepare for SCJP 6.0 exam. You can get some materials on net for covering up the new portion.

i just got the new book for 1.6. it seems the exam is much harder for 1.6 since there is more 'does not compile' AND 'bombs at runtime' options in each question. just from that, i am considering 1.5 to pass. if i had someone offer me $20K extra for 1.6 versus 1.5, i would definitely do 1.6
