will certifications in three technologies help me in my jOB SEARCH

Hello Everone,
I would like to know wether getting certified in three technologies Sun Java, Sun Solaris, IBM XMl, will help me in my Job Search, i have two years of experience, have been jobless for past three months and so have decided to persue certifications, is it worthwile, please help me.

Hi Sanjay,
It depends upon what technologies u have been working on.I would in any case suggest tht multiple certifications would do good, if u were to get certified in one,get hold of a job and then go in for another certification while at work bcos it happens to be work ex + certifications.certifications would definitely improve ur career prospectus.

Certifications never hurt - it depends on your experience to back those up.
I'd keep working on things in your spare time while you're doing the job hunt, build up some work experience with the skills as you work towards certifications, so you can present it as a whole package to a potential employer. Otherwise, you might look to some like a paper-cert rather than someone who knows what they're doing.
