Hello,
I would apriciate an indication of the monthly salary ($) of someone with the following 'abilities':
Knowledge and experience with:
Using XML,UML, HTML, Java, servlets, applets, JSP.
Some social stuff: working in teams. Clear communication.
Have a nice day

There's still a number of factors which can effect this, including:

  1. Location (NYC pays more than east Kansas)
  2. What college degrees do you have? (level, school, department)
  3. What is your level of experience.
  4. What is your type of experience, and how relevant is it to the current position? Was it in academia? in an unrelated industry, even if software? Were you a web developer before, but now trying to build application servers?
  5. How strong are your skills in these areas?
  6. What type of company are you looking at? Startup? Fortune 500? Software? Wall St?
  7. How much work experience do you have overall: in Java? in all software jobs, including other languages? total after-college work experience of any type?
  8. Are you going through a recruiter?
  9. Does the job include a bonus?
  10. How are the benefits?

  11. All of the above can effect the pay scale to one degree or another. Some, like experience or college degrees, typically have more inflcuence than, say, the strength of your skills; the latter more likely just determining whether or not you are qualified.
