Does anyone here have the experience on what type of questions they ask a Java programmer verbally during an interview?
I would greatly appreciate it!

I had a Technical interview couple of days ago, it included java Oracle, VB, JSP, JFC, beans and servlets. I am not sure what you have put on your resume but if it is just core java then expect questions like:
* what does static do when placed in front of variable, method?
* Same for keyword "Final".
* Does Java call 'by reference' or 'by value'?
* Some questions on Garbage collector
* How does java read a file? ( I thought it was slightly vague)
That is all I remember from Java part.
Do a search on this forum and you will get a lot of postings where people have posted some prospective questions that may be asked. That is what I did and it sure was helpful.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck!
