Yeeps. Just what Orlando needed. Another driver on the road. BTW, we're thinking of passing a law that says if you move to Florida you have to bring your own
water
Here's something few people realize. Although you'd think that Miami/South Florida would be the best market for IT jobs because of its size and polulation, actually it's Tampa and Jacksonville. Tampa/St. Pete is actually the most recession-proof. However, you really SHOULD bring your own water there! Orlando has begun to build up more tech jobs (for years it only APPEARED to be a high-tech place), but it's not as much noted for "big iron" shops as Tampa or Jax.
Monster.com is overrated. I like
http://www.florida.computerjobs.com/site_drilldown.asp ALLTEL was looking for WebLogic talent in Jacksonville. Last I heard, they were trying to get it for $65K, though.
Some people, when well-known sources tell them that fire will burn them, don't put their hands in the fire.
Some people, being skeptical, will put their hands in the fire, get burned, and learn not to put their hands in the fire.
And some people, believing that they know better than well-known sources, will claim it's a lie, put their hands in the fire, and continue to scream it's a lie even as their hands burn down to charred stumps.
