I'm working on a little applet that is a game guessing the identity of a person. I'm using a jpeg of the person, and I want to filter the image so that the background would be totally black, and the foreground i.e the person would be just white. I wasn't sure how to tinker with the filtering methods to get this result. My other alternative is to blur the image until it isn't recognizable, but I like my original idea more, and it'll give me more exposure to the API. If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate it, thanks.

After thinking about this more, I think what I'm really trying to do is to take an image of a person, and another white image, and use the white image to mask the identity of the person. If anyone has any idea how to do that, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
