hi folks,
is there anyway to retrieve Address book located at MS Exchange server using JavaMail API. A lot of websites talk about use of IMAP Protocal to browse email messages. But i could'nt find any info regarding access to address book. First of all i want to know "Is that possible ? Yes/No".

Can anybody shed some light on how to extract address list from exchange server ??... i know you cannot do it with JavaMail API,.. but any other possible way ?,.. or sample code if anybody has already done this before..

I really appreciate your help on this matter.
Thanks

JavaMail is a client API, and as such meant for one particular user. It has no provisions to switch into "administrator" mode, and do admin stuff, like getting a list of users. And, Exchange being a Microsoft product, there isn't a product-specific API to do this, either.

Hi thanks..

Well i came across this - JIntegra which is letting me do that ,.. i tested some code and it works fine - it gets me the Global Address list(GAL),.. but it's not free

So i have decided that i will try to do a JNDI look up on LDAP server directory and read the GAL.... I will give that a shot..

Thanks

Why don't you email him? The address is in his user profile; that's this little icon:
